Raw Materials Week

The Raw Materials Week is an annual event organised by the European Commission since 2016. It gathers a wide range of stakeholders discussing policies and initiatives in the field of raw material, providing an overview of ongoing EU activities in this sector.

The Raw Materials Week 2024 will take place from 9 to 13 December 2024 in Brussels. This Week covers topics related to derisking raw material projects with EU and EU countries’ funding, technology, and innovation through digital and cutting-edge solutions, boosting domestic supply, enhancing circularity with rare earth permanent magnets, markets trends, international partnerships, maintaining high environmental and social standard etc.

HaDEA will have a session on Horizon technology success stories for raw materials on 9 December from 14.00 to 15.30. Six projects along the raw materials value chain (exploration, extraction, processing, recycling and substitution) will present their results: AGEMERA, DIGIECOQUARRY, PEACOC, ICARUS, SEArcularMINE and PASSENGER.
