Description
The newest edition of the Raw Materials Information System (RMIS) Workshop will take place on 30 September and 1 October 2026 in Brussels, and will again be a unique chance to discuss how to make raw material value chains more secure, sustainable, and competitive.
The theme of this 2026 edition is: "Leveraging Raw Materials to Strengthen EU Sustainable Competitiveness & Business Opportunities - Channelling knowledge from European projects into the Raw Materials Information System (RMIS)."
Co-organised by HaDEA and the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, the 2-day workshop will gather representatives from the European institutions, industry, academia, and EU-funded projects.
Key objectives of the event include:
- Improving awareness of EU-projects focused on critical/strategic/advanced materials;
- Discussing how Europe can strengthen its competitiveness and resilience through a more secure and sustainable management of critical and strategic raw materials, while fostering innovation in advanced materials;
- Showcasing research outcomes and explore how project knowledge can be further disseminated, scaled up and integrated into the RMIS.
Join the event online and take part in the discussion by following the event through web streaming.
