10th Annual European Cybersecurity Conference 2023 – meet HaDEA-managed projects working on digital services

EU Cybersecurity Conference 23

The 2023 edition of the European Cybersecurity Conference is taking place in Brussels at the Stanhope Hotel on 23 March.

The conference gathers policy-makers, industry players, high level cyber security and defense experts. It consists of keynote sessions and speeches, panel discussions and face to face meetings.

H2020 Projects:

ADMORPH aims to implement a holistic approach to safety critical Cyber Physical Systems (CPSs) that detects component failures and prevents potential attacks, making them adaptive, dynamically morphing and more robust. These innovative methods and tools will be evaluated in three industrial use cases taken from radar surveillance systems, autonomous operations for aircraft to transport management systems.

COLLABS’s objective is to counter cybersecurity challenges and threats linked to Rapid advances in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The project has four aims: Develop, Validate, Demonstrate and Support a comprehensive cyber intelligence framework for collaborative manufacturing. COLLABS is using state-of-the-art technologies in relevant domains such as securing multi-party computation and homomorphic encryption, distributing deep learning, and anomaly detection, among others.

ELEGANT is developing a novel software solution that addresses key challenges facing the Internet of Things and Big Data: interoperability, cybersecurity threats, safety and security. Some of the key innovations are lightweight virtualisation and automatic code extraction compatible with IoT and Big Data frameworks. It ranges from intelligent orchestration, dynamic code motion and advanced code verification to cybersecurity mechanisms.

Background information

Horizon 2020 was the EU’s multiannual funding programme between 2014 and 2020. H2020 provided Research and Innovation (R&I) funding for multi-national collaboration projects alongside individual researchers and SMEs via special funding instruments. Horizon 2020 was replaced by the Horizon Europe Programme, which will run until 2027.

Launched in 2013, the European Cybersecurity Conference is organised by Forum Europe as one of the most important events related to Cybersecurity themes. The objective is to exchange what the next steps for all actors of the ecosystem should be. In addition, it seeks to create a safe and secure environment allowing Europe to leverage the tremendous socio-economic benefits offered by digital technologies.
