The Concertation and Consultation on Computing Continuum: From Cloud to Edge to IoT is an event celebrated in Brussels on 10-11 May and organised within the context of the European, Cloud, Edge and IoT Continuum initiative by the OpenContinuum consortium.
This event gives the opportunity to Horizon Europe and H2020 projects to present their objectives, plans, lessons learned and success stories.
Discover some of the Horizon 2020 projects managed by HaDEA in the domains of the Digital Services Package participating in the conference:
ASSIST-IoT: develops an open, decentralised reference architecture, associated enablers, services and tools to assists human-centric applications in multiple verticals. The proposed solution will integrate AI-based functions transferring intelligence closer to the edge (data sources), including devices. It supports continuous integration and long-term sustainability of domain-agnostic, interoperable, self-capable, intelligent, and trustworthy IoT ecosystems.
CHARITY: aspires to leverage the benefits of intelligent, autonomous orchestration of cloud, edge, and network resources to counter the obstacles that impact the user experiences. It aims at delivering a superior quality of experience to multiple classes of XR services, through an end-to-end optimized lifecycle management platform, and a facilitating environment for XR developers to build up their services. A final prototype will be available in Spring 2024.
HiPEAC: is a European network of almost 2,000 world-class computing systems researchers, industry representatives and students, bringing together all actors and stakeholders in the field of cyber-physical systems of systems (CPSoS). It provides a platform for cross-disciplinary research collaboration.
Background
Horizon 2020 was the EU’s multiannual funding programme between 2014 and 2020. H2020 provided Research and Innovation (R&I) funding for multi-national collaboration projects alongside individual researchers and SMEs via special funding instruments. Horizon 2020 was replaced by the Horizon Europe Programme, which will run until 2027.
