Digital Europe Programme to accelerate the digital transition by providing €118 million of funding to the first projects managed by HaDEA

€118 million of funding DEP

The European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) manages 58 projects, selected through competitive calls for proposals launched in 2021 and 2022, receiving over €118 million in funding.

These projects will contribute to fulfilling Europe’s objective of digital transformation by supporting key capacity areas in different fields and by bringing benefits to both citizens and businesses, especially SMEs. The topics in which the selected projects are operating are the following:

  • European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO) - national and multinational hubs: fact-checking and tackling disinformation.
  • Safer Internet centres (SICs): online safety resources, including educational materials and awareness campaigns promoting safer internet for children and young people.
  • e-Justice Communication via online data exchange (e-CODEX): secure and decentralised communication network between national IT systems in cross-border civil and criminal proceedings.
  • Digital Product Passport (DPP): implementation of the New Circular Economy Action Plan through the development of a digital record of a unique product’s complete life cycle and through storing key traceability data about the product.
  • Advanced digital skills: support to excellence in educational institutions and the development of advanced ICT skills through specialised and short-term training.
  • Data for Cultural Heritage: digital transformation of Europe’s cultural heritage sector.
