Digital Product Passport – project results to be presented in a final event

CIRPASS final event: State of play and possible future developments of the Digital Europe Passport (DPP)

CIRPASS (Collaborative Initiative for a Standards-based Digital Product Passport for Stakeholder-Specific Sharing of Product Data for a Circular Economy) is a HaDEA-managed project that aims to prepare the ground for a gradual deployment of Digital Product Passports (DPPs) from 2023 onwards, with an initial focus on the electronics, batteries, and textile sectors.

CIRPASS’s methodology consists in uniting representatives from a large number of sectors and stakeholders (Industries, policymakers, R&D centres, standardisation organisations, circular economy and sustainability actors, and digital solution providers) in order to build a balanced, open and transparent community dedicated to the design and roll-out of the upcoming European DPPs.

The project will finish on 31 March 2024 and the consortium is organising a final event to present the results of the project. These results will be demonstrated and discussed through the different panels with the participation of the consortium, European Commission policy officers, and DPP experts. The project’s outcomes will support the European Commission policy making on current and future developments on the digitalisation of the circular economy with a focus on the Green Deal objective.

CIRPASS final public event will take place on Tuesday, 5 March 2024 from 9.30 to 17.30 CET and will focus on critical issues still facing the DPP, exploring “Why, What, How, and When” aspects related to DPP development and future deployment.  Registrations for the event are open.
