The Russian invasion of Ukraine has had an unprecedented impact on the mental health of people who have taken refuge in the Union. Among those affected by the war, children and vulnerable groups suffer the most.
HaDEA has launched a call under the EU4Health programme to provide mental health and psychosocial support to displaced people from Ukraine.
EU4Health Annual Work Programme 2022 - Open Call - Mental health assistance for displaced people from Ukraine
The aim of the call is to support the exchange of best practices, and to increase awareness and knowlesdge-sharing in support of Ukrainian/Russian speaking health professionals working with displaced people arriving from Ukraine. The action will contribute to the mitigation of major mental health and psychologically traumatic experiences of vulnerable groups due to the war in Ukraine.
The activities are about exchanging and implementing best practices that will increase awareness, knowledge-sharing and support for health professionals and NGOs (non-governmental organisations) working with refugees.
The call covers the following topic:
EU4H-2022-PJ-09: Call for proposals on promoting mental health - implementing promising best practice(s) to mitigate the negative impact of the war and improve mental health and psychosocial wellbeing for migrant and refugee populations fleeing from Ukraine.
Budget: €2 million
The action targets relevant health professional NGOs and stakeholders working in Ukraine’s neighbouring countries hosting displaced people. All interested parties are invited to send their applications by 31 May 2022, 17:00 (CEST).
