HaDEA's side event at COP27

HaDEA will organise one of the EU side events at the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP27, which will take place in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, from 6 to 18 November 2022.

Heads of State, ministers and negotiators, along with climate activists, mayors, civil society representatives and CEOs, will come together to discuss and deliver action on critical issues for tackling the climate emergency.

Marina Zanchi, director of HaDEA, will moderate a hybrid side event “Solar energy generation and storage – More sustainable processes for the planet and people” on 14 November at 13:30, Brussels time.

The session will highlight projects funded under the Horizon 2020 programme that are developing solutions to address the challenges of making renewable energy generation and storage as sustainable as possible.

The representatives of the projects featured will explain how new technologies in the area of concentrated solar power, power-to-x or supercapacitors, are contributing to increased sustainability in the solar energy sector.

This session will also shed light on fruitful technological cooperation between the EU and the African Union regarding solar power technology.

Registration for HaDEA’s side event is now open.
