On 1 April 2026, the European Commission opened the second request period for joint scientific consultations (JSCs) for 2026. This is the fourth submission period under the EU Health Technology Assessment Regulation, after its entry into application on 12 January 2025.
JSCs enable health technology developers to consult on the planning of their health technology and how clinical studies should be conducted to best prepare for a subsequent Joint Clinical Assessment.
The submission period is open from 1 to 29 April 2026 to developers of both medicinal products and medical devices.
Developers can apply for the following consultation slots during this request period:

Requests must be uploaded to the HTA IT Platform by 29 April 2026. As access to the platform can take a few days, early registration is recommended. Check the dedicated webpage on how to submit a request.
