HaDEA has completed the evaluation of the proposals submitted under the call HORIZON-CL4-2024-SPACE-01, which closed on 21 March 2024.
HaDEA has started grant agreement preparations with the successful consortia of 11 proposals, which will receive a total EU contribution of €44.48 million.
Topics of the call included:
- Copernicus for land and water
- Copernicus for security
- Quantum space gravimetry (phase-B study & technology maturation)
- Space technologies for European non-dependence and competitiveness
44 experts were involved in the evaluation and ethics assessment of 28 proposals. An independent observer confirmed that the evaluation adhered very well to all applicable rules and the overall quality of the evaluation process was excellent.
The share of EU funding going to SMEs is 25.5%.
All applicants have been informed about the evaluation results. HaDEA intends to sign all grant agreements by mid-November 2024.

EU Space Research aims to foster a cost-effective, competitive, and innovative space industry and research community. Under Horizon Europe Cluster 4 – Space (Destination 5), HaDEA is funding projects that prepare future evolutions of the EU Space Programme components, foster the EU space sector’s competitiveness, reinforce its independent capacity to access space, and secure its autonomy of supply for critical technologies.
