First FastContinuum 2023 Workshop on 16 April 2023

The projects PIACERE and SWForum.eu, this time together with AI-SPRINT are organising the First FastContinuum2023 workshop, which is taking place in Coimbra, Portugal on 16 April 2023. The event aims to foster discussion and collaboration among researchers from cloud/edge/fog/computing continuum and performance analysis communities, to share the relevant topics and results of the current approaches.

AI-SPRINT is a Horizon 2020 project managed by HaDEA developing tools for AI applications in computing continua which allow a finely tuned trade-off between performance and AI model accuracy, putting security and privacy early in the design stage. It provides programming models, specialised building blocks, and mechanisms for automatic deployment and dynamic reconfiguration.

Background

Horizon 2020 (H2020) was the EU’s multiannual funding programme between 2014 and 2020. H2020 provided Research and Innovation (R&I) funding for multi-national collaboration projects alongside individual researchers and SMEs via special funding instruments. Horizon 2020 is being continued by the Horizon Europe Programme, which will run until 2027.
