Meet HaDEA-managed project XR4ED at UnitedXR Europe

UnitedXR Europe is taking place in Brussels from 8 to 10 December. It will focus on topics related to augmented and virtual reality, highlighting the strategic importance of public-private partnerships in advancing Europe’s extended reality (XR) leadership.

XR4ED, a Horizon Europe funded project managed by HaDEA, will participate to the event presenting their educational platform on XR at booth 501 in the exposition area.

XR4ED unites the EdTech and XR communities to build a European reference platform for learning and training with extended reality (XR). Designed as a central access point to XR solutions, the platform supports Europe’s ambition to remain at the forefront of advanced educational technologies. As the European EdTech sector becomes increasingly influential in driving digital transformation, XR offers new opportunities to enrich learning experiences. Yet developing XR tools for education still demands specialised skills, time, and substantial resources. XR4ED addresses these challenges by connecting the EdTech and XR ecosystems to create a strong, value-driven European infrastructure for XR-based education and training—one that aligns with key European principles such as privacy, ethics, and inclusiveness. A prototype of the XR4ED marketplace, which serves as a hub for accessing, purchasing, and downloading digital XR assets, is available here.

UnitedXR Europe merges the work of Augmented World Expo (AWE) and Stereopsia to host a hub for XR innovation, industry leadership, and next-gen immersive experiences, accelerating the European immersive ecosystem towards mainstream adoption.
