Meet HaDEA-managed projects at Hannover Messe 2024

Meet HaDEA managed projects - HANNOVER MESSE 2024

Several projects managed by HaDEA will be present at Hannover Messe, the world's leading trade fair for industry, taking place from 22 to 26 April 2024. Don’t miss our two sessions at the EC Stand (Hall 12, Stand D05):

  • Wednesday 24 April, 17.00-17.30: 'Innovate to Transform: Advisory services to enhance the innovation and sustainability practices of SMEs'. Highlighted projects: SURE 5.0, BRIDGESMEs, and In Transit.

  • Friday 26 April, 11.00-11:30: 'Enhancing skills for a fair and inclusive transition'. Highlighted projects: Up-Skill and BRIDGES 5.0.

The projects at a glance

  • SURE 5.0 supports SMEs from the Civil Transportation (MTA and aerospace & defence) and Electronics ecosystems, to integrate in their manufacturing processes the industry 5.0 principles, to become more human-centric, sustainable and resilient.

  • BRIDGESMEs is supporting SMEs from five different ecosystems to facilitate and build alliances between pilot and tech-savvy companies, helping them to re-think their business models and operations to become more resilient, sustainable and human-centric.

  • In Transit is working to strengthen the resilience of textile, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, and construction SMEs towards greener and more digital with social and business model. It provides a mixed support mechanism including individual assessment support and a lump sum and coaching to ensure their consolidation and sustainability.

  • Up-Skill focuses on getting a better understanding of how businesses, particularly in industrial and manufacturing environments, can gain value from human-machine integration. It addresses workforce implications of Industry 5.0, specifically the relationship between automation and maintenance of skilled work. In terms of production, it explores where automation adds value to skilled and artisanal work and where over-automation undermines the value of what is produced.

  • BRIDGES 5.0 is working towards an inclusive digital and green future by enhancing workforce skills for Industry 5.0. The project is researching the changes and advancements in jobs and skill requirements, and evaluating the efficiency of new training and teaching concepts. Finally, it will collaborate with stakeholders to develop a platform for the efficient training of workers.

Some other HaDEA-managed projects at Hannover Messe

  • SMS-Digital is a use case partner in the Ericsson EcopartnerSystem Industry 4.0.The project will be at the Booth J52 in Hall 14, presenting a product-study called the 5G Sensor2Cloud Pipeline, a scalable and easy to integrate sensor solution for production companies, enabling via 5G connectivity, transmission, and processing of data to gain insights into the production process.

  • Accelleran will present Accelleran's Open, Programmable Private 5G solution, which is O-RAN aligned, enabling a continuous integration of a growing array of Radio Units from various vendors. Accelleran will present two use cases, showing private 5G deployments for digital transformation: 1) Humber Wind Farm and 2) BMW Autonomous Vehicle Warehouse.

  • Fraunhofer HHI will be present at the Stand B16 in Halle 2, as a partner in Zero-Swarm consortium. It will showcase their recent development of Federated Learning (FL) in the context of federated, distributed intelligence across IoT-edge-cloud continuum for industrial cyber-physical systems. Fraunhofer HHI will perform a demonstration of Federated Training of two distinct industrial use-cases: 1) detection model of air pressure system failure in trucks and 2) visual inspection model for automatic quality assurance in production.

Background

Horizon 2020 the EU’s multiannual funding programme between 2014 and 2020. H2020 provided Research and Innovation (R&I) funding for multi-national collaboration projects alongside individual researchers and SMEs via special funding instruments.
