The Copernicus programme stands as one of the world’s most successful Earth Observation initiatives and a key European achievement in space. By leveraging vast amounts of data from Sentinel satellites, contributing missions, and Earth-based sensors, Copernicus provides cutting-edge information services that address critical global challenges in six key domains: atmosphere, climate, marine, land, emergency, and security.
To ensure these services continue to evolve and meet emerging policy needs and user requirements, HaDEA has funded a range of Horizon 2020 projects focused on advancing Copernicus capabilities. These efforts build on a strong EU-funded portfolio dating back to FP7 and continuing today under Horizon Europe.
The latest CORDIS Results Pack highlights the achievements and impacts of 10 EU-funded projects that have contributed to the continuous development of Copernicus services, enhancing their ability to tackle environmental, emergency, and security challenges.
