The OECD and the European Commission Directorate-General for Research and Innovation have developed a new international survey on research and development (R&D) personnel. The input will help policymakers and the wider community understand how R&D work is evolving.

The implementation and the performance of the Horizon Europe programme, the EU’s key funding programme for research and innovation, is using Key Impact Pathways (KIPs) to better understand and monitor the impact of EU funding on research and innovation. The survey represents a first step towards measuring the impact of Horizon Europe on researchers’ careers, including contract types, salaries and satisfaction with different aspects of their roles.

Take the survey

  • It only takes 10 minutes

  • It’s confidential

  • It’s open to everyone working in research and development

Background

This survey forms part of the work of the OECD’s Research and Innovation Careers Observatory (ReICO) which brings together, for the first time, internationally comparable data, statistics and policy-relevant evidence on the careers that drive science, technology and innovation, covering more than 50 countries.
