Three new HERA calls for tender now open for submission!

HaDEA has published three new calls for tenders, funded under the EU4Health 2021 Annual Work Programme.

Feasibility Study on Stockpiling of Medical Countermeasures in the Area of AMR

This is a preparatory action in support of the future European Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA). It is a feasibility study and analysis on stockpiling solutions (physical vs other options) of medical countermeasures for antibiotics resistance - AMR. The service contract will cover elements, such as:

1) identification and assessment of options for stockpiling (physical vs virtual alternatives);
2) assessment of needs and availability of AMR countermeasures, both at Member States and EU level;
3) mapping and assessment of relevant stockpiling systems of different kinds, which are already operated at EU and/or global level (e.g. WHO);
4) identification of appropriate funding mechanisms, including procurement options;
5) identification and assessment of operational deployment mechanisms;
6) liability and regulatory aspects/constraints.

The maximum budget available is EUR 10 000 000. 00

Feasibility Study, Design and Prototype Development for a Mapping Platform on COVID-19 Therapeutics in the EU

This is a service contract encompassing the feasibility assessment, the design and prototype development of an interactive platform mapping the production capacity and supply of COVID-19 therapeutics in the EU including products in research and development phases. Such therapeutics can include ICU medicines, heparin, dexamethasone and antibiotics, in vitro diagnostics devices/companion diagnostics.

The maximum budget available is EUR 5 000 000. 00.

A Study on Bringing AMR Medical Countermeasures to the Market

This is a preparatory action in support of the future European Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA). This service contract seeks to collect evidence and provide options for action in order to help bringing more AMR medical-countermeasures (MCMs) to market in the EU.

The subject of the study involves:
1) a technological review of the latest AMR MCMs (e.g.; medicines, medical devices, vaccines);
2) gap analysis and assessment of needs amongst the EU Member States and key stakeholders;
3) presentation of options for possible actions, funding and provision of support mechanisms under a future HERA;
4) exploration of the available tools ensuring that safe and effective products are brought to market with EU support, are also immediately available to the EU and its Member States in the event of a public health emergency.

The maximum budget available is EUR 10 000 000.00
