EU financial support of €34.5 million was granted to 132 veterinary programmes in 2023. In 2024, €40.7 million will be granted to 118 veterinary programmes. This financial support includes grants to certain non-EU countries aimed for example to strengthen African swine fever surveillance (five non-EU countries) and eradication of rabies (one non-EU country).
