From 24-30 April 2022, the European Immunisation Week raises awareness on the importance of immunisation for people’s health and well-being. The Horizon 2020 and EU4Health programmes support the crucial role vaccination plays in global health.

World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on 7 April. HaDEA supports health research by managing a number of projects and initiatives under the Horizon Europe programme Cluster 1 (health)  and Cluster 4 (industry) and its legacy, Horizon 2020.

HaDEA has concluded the evaluation process of eight Horizon Europe ‘Health’ calls for proposals. Out of 592 submitted proposals, 96 have been selected for funding.

4 February is World Cancer Day, an international day to raise awareness of and mobilise actions towards the elimination of barriers to cancer care.

The EU Cancer Mission aims to optimise the diagnostic and treatment and support the quality of life of cancer patients. It also focuses on preventing this life-threatening disease from affecting millions in the EU.

On 18 January at 14:00 CET, a dedicated info session will present the EU Cancer Mission, part of Europe’s Beating Cancer action plan.

On 29 October 2021, the Horizon Europe Cluster 1 (Health) Info day shed light on the latest set of open calls.

The Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation in collaboration with the Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), are organising the 2nd edition of the Horizon Europe Cluster 1 Info Days to be held virtually on 28 October 2021.

A new set of calls under Cluster 1 Health of Horizon Europe opened on 6 October 2021.
