Description

The subject of this call for tenders is to conclude service contracts for the purchasing of clinical and non-clinical services in view of developing innovative medical countermeasures (MCMs) and speed up availability and access to them in the EU/EEA. By medical countermeasures we refer to medicines and medical supplies that can be used to diagnose, prevent or treat diseases that could become a serious cross-border threat to health.

This procurement procedure aims at enabling the EU/EEA to have privileged access to promising and innovative products for:

  • Preparedness purposes,
  • Response to crisis situations, regardless of whether the product is still in the investigational phase or has been placed on the market.

The privileged access envisaged in this call for tenders refers to, first, the priority right to purchase and, second, the obligation to ensure exclusive reservation production upon notification.

Estimated budget: €82 000 000

New deadline: all interested parties are invited to send in their applications by 18 December, 16:00 (CET).
