HaDEA implements the EU4Health programme by managing calls for proposals and tenders from 2021 to 2027. The programme and its calls represent an ambitious response to the COVID-19 pandemic, but go beyond crisis response to address the resilience of European healthcare systems and contribute to a healthier Europe.

The HaDEA Showcase Event 2026 took place on 19 January 2026 at the Charlemagne Conference Centre in Brussels and online, bringing together around 500 participants on site and close to 150 participants online.

HaDEA has published a Prior Information Notice (PIN) for a call for tenders expected to open in February 2026: HADEA/2026/OP/0001 - PIN: Implementation of the new SoHO Regulation: training and networking of SoHO Competent Authorities’ staff for oversight.

Europe is entering a new era of preparedness. By managing eight major EU funding programmes across areas of health, digital, industry and space, the HADEA supports projects that strengthen the Union’s resilience and capacity to respond to whatever crisis comes next.

The European Commission has opened the first submission period for joint scientific consultations (JSCs) for 2026.
