HaDEA manages calls for proposals and calls for tenders, which are open to a variety of organisations, including health NGOs and national authorities from EU countries and non-EU countries associated to the programme.
The EU4Health programme also funds other grants such as Joint Actions of the Member States and associated countries, and other direct grants to identified beneficiaries.
The EU4Health Programme is implemented through annual work programmes.
The EU4Health work programme for 2023 consists of four overarching strands and one cross-cutting strand:
- Crisis preparedness;
- Health promotion & disease prevention;
- Health systems & healthcare workforce;
- Digital;
- Cancer (cross-cutting).
