Description
The event will feature presentations by DG CONNECT and HaDEA, with a focus on Europe’s Digital Decade targets for 2030, as well as on how the 5G for Smart Communities action under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) – Digital programme can contribute to the attainment of these objectives.
A roundtable discussion will follow to explore the benefits of collaboration between mobile network operators, alternative operators, equipment manufacturers, and public authorities, and the role of EU-funding in supporting 5G projects.
Several breakout sessions will be organized according to thematic areas of Health, Education, Smart Cities, Emergency and Disaster Relief. Selected 5G for Smart Communities projects from the first CEF Digital call for proposals will present their projects and share useful tips and lessons learned from the application projects with the interested stakeholders. The event will conclude with a wrap-up session and final remarks by DG CONNECT and HaDEA.
