On 30 June, HaDEA, with the participation of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Health and Food safety (DG SANTE), the Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (DG HERA) and the Directorate-General for Energy (DG ENER), organised an info session on the 2023 EU4Health open calls.
The topics of the calls, numbered from PJ-01 to PJ-12, include healthcare access, mental health, NCDs, cancer, Substances of Human Origin and medical devices. All interested parties are invited to send in their applications by 17 October 2023, 17:00 (CET).
The info session laid out the:
- Policy context and political priorities;
- Call objectives and available budget;
- Technical and administrative steps to submit proposals.

Background
EU4Health, with a budget of €5.3 billion, is the fourth and largest of the EU health programmes. The EU4Health programme goes beyond an ambitious response to the COVID-19 crisis to address the resilience of European healthcare systems. The programme provides funding to national authorities, health organisations and other bodies through grants and public procurement, contributing to a healthier Europe.
HaDEA manages the vast majority of the total EU4Health budget and implements the programme by managing calls for proposals and tenders from 2021 to 2027.
