International Girls in ICT Day is an annual event observed on the fourth Thursday of April, which aims to raise awareness about the gender gap in the ICT sector and encourage girls to explore career opportunities in this field.
It was established 12 years ago by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and since then, it has been celebrated every year with events, trainings, mentoring and networking opportunities for girls and young women.
Tackling the digital gender gap is one of main objectives of ManagiDITH project managed by HaDEA.
Launched in January 2023 and funded under the Digital Europe Programme, the Master of Managing Digital Transformation in the Health Sector (ManagiDiTH) has the objective to reach at least 50% of female certificated students at the end of the two cycles of the master. The project is working to develop training references for level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework in the digital health sector, to create a multidisciplinary learning ecosystem, and to introduce a pedagogical model that prioritises problem-oriented learning strategies supported by digital tools.
