CEF Digital funds Operational Digital Platforms (ODPs) that contribute to support digital services in the energy and transport sectors across the European Union.
ODPs are physical and virtual information communication technology resources, operating via the communication infrastructure, which support the flow, storage, processing and analysis of transport and/or energy data.
Funded projects will identify and prepare for deployment of cross-border digital infrastructure that will accelerate the digitalisation of the energy/mobility sector, enhance interoperability and standardisation and trigger a public-private partnership virtuous circle of investment. Projects shall further build on and integrate with existing and emerging European data, cloud and edge computing infrastructures.
By contributing to set synergies between digital, transport and energy sectors, Operation Digital Platforms aim to leverage the innovation of energy and transport infrastructures, support EU environmental, enable a cybersecure Internet of Energy and optimise transport system along major European transport hubs.
How to participate
The beneficiaries for the works projects can take the form of consortia, such as local authorities, national authorities, energy companies, transport/mobility companies, road authorities, equipment providers, system integrators, mobile networks operators, platform operators, companies providing security and privacy solutions, service providers, data centres operators, etc.
Open calls are published on the Funding & Tenders Portal and more details are available in the Call text.
