More than €1 billion was made available for the telecommunications sector under the CEF programme for 2014-2020. Part of the funding under the CEF was made in the form of grants allocated following competitive calls for proposals. INEA (now CINEA) managed these calls for the deployment of a set of generic services linking national infrastructure to the core service platforms across the EU.
Up to €67.4 million is foreseen from the 2020 CEF Telecom Work Programme for grants managed by INEA in the area of Generic Services.
